M&E
M&S Drainage Project Kingsgate East Kilbride.
Marks & Spencer is a leading British multinational retailer, renowned for its high-quality clothing, home, and food products. With over 950 stores across the UK, M&S continues to set the standard for retail excellence and customer experience. At one of its key locations, the client experienced ongoing issues with the toilet block macerators, which were unable to handle the site’s waste demands effectively. Frequent blockages and maintenance callouts were causing disruption to both staff and customers, prompting the need for a more reliable, long-term solution.
M&E
Dilapidation Project
Our client is playing a leading role in transforming the UK waste sector, driving progress towards a net zero, circular economy by 2050. By converting domestic and commercial waste into high-quality raw materials and energy, they are helping to close the loop on waste while supporting national sustainability targets. As part of our ongoing partnership, Solis was commissioned to project manage the handover of an office and warehouse facility at Drumhead Road. Sustainability was at the heart of the project, with a focus on reusing, repurposing, and recycling materials to reduce carbon emissions and support local businesses and charities.

M&S Forge AHU Burner
This project was undertaken for Marks & Spencer, a leading British multinational retailer renowned for its high-quality clothing, home, and food products. At the M&S Forge Parkhead store, managed via City FM, the existing Air Handling Unit (AHU) had been condemned due to a significant crack in the burner, leaving the building without reliable heating during the onset of colder weather. Immediate intervention was required to restore heating and ensure full compliance with Clean Air Act regulations.
M&E
River Gardens
In January 2021, the Scottish Government launched a National Mission to reduce Scotland’s drug-related death rates. As part of this initiative, the River Garden Auchincruive project was developed to provide a safe and supportive environment where individuals can turn their lives around through residential rehabilitation and recovery. SOLIS was appointed by ISG as the mechanical contractor for the refurbishment and development of the River Garden site.
Viridor Boiler Drum Replacement Project
During the scheduled outage at Viridor GRREC (Glasgow Recycling & Renewable Energy Centre) , SOLIS Group played a key role in supporting the removal of a boiler drum from the RDF bunker within the plant. Due to the complexity of the operation and the inability to dismantle the boiler drum within the plant, the only viable solution was a top-down extraction and installation. Our team worked tirelessly around the clock, providing comprehensive support across all aspects of the project including project management, scaffold system installation, traffic management, and ground support.
