Wind Turbine Processing Centre Office Build
Following the successful refurbishment of a 100-year-old warehouse at EMR’s South Street site in Glasgow, Solis transformed the underutilised building into a state-of-the-art wind turbine processing centre the first of its kind in Scotland. As operations within the new facility expanded, it became clear that additional office, meeting, and welfare spaces were required to support day-to-day management, host visiting clients and government representatives, and provide essential staff amenities.

Viridor GRREC
This project supports Viridor’s Glasgow Recycling and Renewable Energy Centre (GRREC) – a state-of-the-art residual waste treatment facility. Fully operational since January 2019, the plant generates enough energy to power 26,000 households, provide heat for 8,000 homes, and deliver annual carbon savings of approximately 90,000 tonnes of CO₂. The scale and complexity of the site demand continuous monitoring, maintenance, and environmental management to ensure safe and efficient operation.

M&E
Marks & Spencer - Livingston PAI
Marks & Spencer is a leading British multinational retailer, headquartered in London, specialising in clothing, beauty, homeware, and food. With over 950 stores across the UK, including 615 food-only outlets, M&S continues to be one of the most recognised and trusted retail brands in Britain. At the Livingston store, the client required a full replacement of the plant room water heating system, which involved the removal of outdated equipment and installation of modern, high-efficiency units.
Viridor Boiler Drum Replacement Project
During the scheduled outage at Viridor GRREC (Glasgow Recycling & Renewable Energy Centre) , SOLIS Group played a key role in supporting the removal of a boiler drum from the RDF bunker within the plant. Due to the complexity of the operation and the inability to dismantle the boiler drum within the plant, the only viable solution was a top-down extraction and installation. Our team worked tirelessly around the clock, providing comprehensive support across all aspects of the project including project management, scaffold system installation, traffic management, and ground support.
