Our client is the largest pub company in the UK, operating around 4,800 managed, leased, and tenanted pubs. Their vast portfolio is home to over 4,500 sites.
For this client we are continually working on their assets and carrying out PPM, which is Planned Preventative Maintenance, otherwise known as scheduled maintenance. The concept is that you do not wait for your equipment to fail, instead, you create a plan that incorporates regular checks and repairs to ensure your assets are in working order for as long as possible. The hospitality industry is a fast-paced moving environment that needs to be inviting for customers to attract them into their venues. Therefore, everything needs to be perfect both inside and out, faulty equipment or equipment breaking down during a busy service can have damaging effects on the business. The PPMs that we carry out covers Fire Alarm Testing, at a minimum, you must legally conduct six monthly inspections of your fire alarm system each year. When it comes to testing your fire alarms, the fire alarm testing frequency demanded by law is weekly. PAT Testing is Portable Appliance Testing, the examination of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use. Most electrical safety defects can be found by visual examination, but some types of defects can only be found by testing. EICR - Electrical Installation Condition Report when your electrical installations are tested by a skilled person to ensure they are safe, and they will not cause any fire risks or electric shocks. EL - Emergency Light Testing, UK fire safety legislation stipulates that emergency lighting must undergo a full test once a year and be 'flick-tested' at least once a month. All venues have planned and scheduled maintenance booked in, and our technicians are continually working around all venues. SOLIS Group, understand the venues needs inside out and can work discreetly on every job we do both internal and external to minimise disruption for the client and their customers.
