M&S Forge AHU Burner
This project was undertaken for Marks & Spencer, a leading British multinational retailer renowned for its high-quality clothing, home, and food products. At the M&S Forge Parkhead store, managed via City FM, the existing Air Handling Unit (AHU) had been condemned due to a significant crack in the burner, leaving the building without reliable heating during the onset of colder weather. Immediate intervention was required to restore heating and ensure full compliance with Clean Air Act regulations.

SOLIS Group was appointed to carry out a comprehensive warehouse refurbishment to support EMR’s new “Re-Rewind” project an initiative focused on the sustainable recovery, reuse, and recycling of first-generation wind turbines reaching the end of their operational life.

Viridor GRREC Pest Control
This project involved the design and delivery of a comprehensive pest control solution at Viridor’s Glasgow Recycling and Renewable Energy Centre (GRREC) a state-of-the-art residual waste treatment facility. The facility became fully operational on 28 January 2019, producing enough energy to power the equivalent of 26,496 households and heat around 8,000 homes, while delivering an annual saving of 90,000 tonnes of CO₂.

In January 2021, the Scottish Government launched a National Mission to reduce Scotland’s drug-related death rates. As part of this initiative, the River Garden Auchincruive project was developed to provide a safe and supportive environment where individuals can turn their lives around through residential rehabilitation and recovery. Wind Turbine Processing Centre Office Build
Following the successful refurbishment of a 100-year-old warehouse at EMR’s South Street site in Glasgow, Solis transformed the underutilised building into a state-of-the-art wind turbine processing centre the first of its kind in Scotland. As operations within the new facility expanded, it became clear that additional office, meeting, and welfare spaces were required to support day-to-day management, host visiting clients and government representatives, and provide essential staff amenities.

By converting domestic and commercial waste into high-quality raw materials and energy, they are helping to close the loop on waste while supporting national sustainability targets. As part of our ongoing partnership, Solis was commissioned to project manage the handover of an office and warehouse facility at Drumhead Road.
