Our client is a major British multinational retailer with headquarters in London that specialises in selling clothing, beauty products, home products and food products. Our client currently has 959 stores across the UK, including 615 that only sell food products.
Challenge
Our client required a solution to various issues. Many floor tiles were visibly damaged and as such were detrimental to the M&S brand. They were experiencing blockages within the female customer WC. The customer toilet area in general was in a poor state of repair.
Solution
To resolve the above challenges SOLIS surveyed the site and came up with the following solutions. We tasked our expert flooring team with replacing all brand damaging tiles. We CCTV surveyed the drains where the blockages were occurring, identified the location of the defect before carrying out a dig and backfill of that area to replace the damaged pipework and resolve drainage issues. We renewed all silicone within the customer toilet area, replaced all push plates and kick plates, toilet roll holders, toilet seats, installed AM-CLAD on the adjacent kitchen door, replaced all damaged door facings before painting and decorating the entire facility.
Impact
On completion of these works the store now has a uniform, clean floor with no signs of defects, the toilets are now not likely to block which will save the store time and money. The customer toilet area is now far more aesthetically pleasing and fit for purpose, resulting in an overall better experience for the customer.
Services
